Our classroom Zen Zone is an area you can utilize when you are finished with ALL assignments to decompress, relax, and focus on mindfulness.
You will also find a variety of different tools, like yoga mats and motivational books.
WHY SHOULD I PRACTICE YOGA?
Below you will find some of the many benefits of yoga, which explain why practicing yoga is a healthy habit to take part in on a regular basis. Whether you are looking for a relaxation technique or trying to strengthen your overall physique, yoga can help you achieve your goals. Just like most hobbies, practice makes perfect, and consistency is key. You may not recognize immediate results after one yoga pose, but the long-term benefits are well worth the patience!

Wellness Challenge
DIRECTIONS: Throughout the school year, complete these wellness challenges to improve your mindset and performance in the classroom.
CHALLENGE EXPLANATION
#1: Start a journal Challenge yourself to maintain a wellness journal where you write your thoughts, ideas, and reflections.
#2: Make a list of short
term and long-term
goals Create five short term SMART goals and 10 long term SMART goals. These goals can be related to education or your personal life! SMART = Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely
#3: Clean out and
reorganize your
supplies Take 30 minutes to sort through all your school supplies and papers (backpack, folders, binders, etc.) and re-organize them.
#4: Write a letter to a
friend or family
member Practice gratitude by sending a letter to a friend or family member who inspires you to be a better person. Thank them for all they do.
#5: Try a new hobby Take up a brand-new hobby that promotes positivity in your life. Commit to the hobby for at least two weeks to decide if it’s something you wish to pursue.
#6: Reconnect with
things that matter
Kindergarten-2nd grade- exploring movement, different yoga poses, exploring growth mindset, practicing gratitude, creative outlets.
3rd-5th- Practicing different yoga movements, practicing growth mindset, learning perspective, meditation, breathing techniques, mindset, being grateful.
