Kindergarten:

Our Kindergarten Students are given homework assignments that are thoughtfully designed to strike a balance between learning and play. These assignments are mindful of the limited time available outside of the classroom. They aim to reinforce fundamental skills through creative activities, fostering a love for learning while respecting the importance of family time. Some assignments are tailored to meet the individual needs of the learner based on assessments and data. These assignments utilize foundational skills and learning. They should be doing at least 10-15 minutes of homework per evening. In addition, they should be reading EVERY NIGHT!!!!!! If you have any questions, please ask your child's teacher.
First Grade:
First Grade
In a First -grade classroom, homework assignments are thoughtfully crafted to align with the developmental stage of these young learners. With an emphasis on building a strong foundation in reading, math, and critical thinking, first graders are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. These assignments are a bridge between school and home, creating a supportive learning environment that sets the stage for a lifetime of academic success. Some assignments are tailored to meet the individual needs of the learner based on assessments and data. First graders should be doing between 20-30 minutes of homework nightly. Second Grade:
In a second -grade classroom, homework assignments are tailored to the increasing academic abilities and independence of these young scholars. These assignments aim to reinforce essential skills in reading, math, and critical thinking through engaging and age-appropriate activities. Some assignments are tailored to meet the individual needs of the learner based on assessments and data. They empower second graders to take ownership of their learning journey, fostering a sense of responsibility and curiosity which will serve them well in the years ahead. Second graders should be completing between 30-40 minutes of homework nightly. In addition, they should be reading EVERY NIGHT!!!!! If you have any questions, please ask your child's teacher.
Third Grade:
Within a third-grade classroom, homework assignments are thoughtfully designed to align with the expanding capabilities and growing independence of these young students. These assignments focus on reinforcing fundamental skills in subjects like reading, math, and critical thinking. They encourage third graders to take charge of their learning, fostering a sense of responsibility and curiosity that will prepare them for the academic challenges ahead. Some assignments are tailored to meet the individual needs of the learner based on assessments and data. Students in grade 3 should be completing between 40-50 minutes of homework nightly. Fourth Grade:
Fourth grade homework assignments are thoughtfully designed to enhance the educational journey of young students. Tailored to their advancing abilities, these assignments reinforce key skills in subjects such as mathematics, language arts, and critical thinking. These assignments encourage fourth graders to take ownership of their learning, fostering responsibility and a deepening curiosity. Some assignments are tailored to meet the individual needs of the learner based on assessments and data. Students in grade 4 should be completing between 50-60 minutes of homework nightly. Fifth Grade:

Some assignments are tailored to meet the individual needs of the learner based on assessments and data. Students in grade 5 should be completing between 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes of homework nightly. In addition, they should be reading EVERY NIGHT!!!!!
